Are you extraordinary?

John Acres
I treasure articles of originality, craftsmanship and artful precision

Do you prize originality? Do you find joy in items of craftsmanship and timeless design? Are you confident enough in yourself to try new and unconventional ideas? Do you seek possessions of enduring value, expecting to one day leave them for your children—and perhaps your children’s children—to enjoy?

If you answer yes, you are extraordinary. It is for you that we exist.

Much of today’s commerce is only about low price. Consumers are encouraged to buy cheap and throw away soon—all so they can buy again. Ideals of commitment, inspiration, sacrifice and individuality are not components of this commercial equation. Are we to simply rent our passions and not to own them?

I treasure articles of originality, craftsmanship and artful precision because such items hold something far more valuable than the physical elements of the product—they hold an image of the builder’s soul. By possessing such objects I am constantly reminded of what can be accomplished with effort, care and thought. These reminders have brought success and fulfillment to my life and I am confident they can bring the same to yours.

The word Bigha means 'because' in the Apache language. In today’s world it can mean 'big laugh'. Both are appropriate to our goals of fun, simplicity, craftsmanship and accomplishment. We combine modern technology with old-world notions of timeless styling and enduring quality. We do not mass-produce and you may have to wait weeks to get delivery. In turn you will receive a product of rare originality.

Admittedly, we are unusual. Most people believe we are somewhere between misguided and crazy, but if most people agreed, we would be doing nothing new or worthwhile. We exist to build extraordinary designs of extraordinary quality that serve the extraordinary person and we place our very soul into each item we create.

May we serve you?

John
